Japanese culture "Furin"
Furin is a symbol of summer in Japan. In Japanese "Fu" means wind and "Rin" means bell.
It is said that furin was brought to Japan from China. It was made from bronze. Grass furin spread in the middle of Edo Period.
Furin were used to be hung up during the summer for warding away evil and epidemics, nowadays people simply enjoy their sound.
