Hello!!! May's big event "Children's day"!!! This is celebrated on May 5th.
We celebrate Children's Day in hope of healthy growth, happiness, and prosperity of both boys and girls in Children's day although traditions of "tango-no-sekku" is still remains.
The day when many people raise the carp-shaped streamers is called "Koinobori" in Japanese.
(※The carp-shaped streamer is a symbol of being successful in life.)
Children eat "Chimaki" and "Kashiwamochi" made from sticky rice during that day.
(※Chimaki and Kashiwamochi both means prosperity for the descendants of the family and also serve as a protective charm.)
