Geisha makeover experience at Kyoto GION AYA
This plan includes twice as many photoshoots as the GION AYA Luxurious Course. Enjoy the Maiko experience to the fullest.
You can even shoot at the popular Koshin Shrine! This special plan includes a wide range of outdoor shooting locations, allowing you to shoot in a variety of locations.

Choose between a Geisha or Maiko, change into a kimono undergarment and socks, and start applying makeup. Maiko will give you a cute look, while Geisha will give you a mature look.
For a natural looking half wig, hair length must be at least 5cm. Geisha style wigs and those with short hair will be required to wear a full wig.
All kimonos are made of luxurious pure silk. Please choose your favorite kimono and obi.
You can also choose hairpins decorated with seasonal flowers and motifs. Geisha style hairpins are simple and mature.
For the Maiko experience, you will wear a loose obi (sash) of about 7 meters that is tied by hand. For the Geisha experience, it will be tied in a tight taiko knot.
The shoot begins in the tatami room on the second floor. Please choose the pose you would like to be photographed in. We will photograph you while searching for the angle and gaze that will make you look beautiful as a Geisha or Maiko.
We moved to the small garden on the first floor to take the photo. The lanterns and deer scare ornaments are also typical of Kyoto.
Now it's time to depart for the outdoor photo shoot. A professional photographer who is well versed in the places and angles that will make the maiko look their best will take you to a special photo spot.
After the outdoor photo shoot, you will go for a stroll in a maiko costume. We will teach you the fine details of how to stand and behave in a beautiful manner, so you can enjoy walking around and taking photos freely.
While you remove your makeup and get changed, we will retouch the photos and give them to you in an album.

Only for courses that do not include outdoor photography, you can enjoy a walk within the area of the walking map provided by our shop (maximum 60 minutes).
We also provide kimonos for men accompanying women who are participating in the maiko experience. (Photography is not included.)
This is a special geisha costume inherited from a real geisha. (Limited to those under 160cm tall, reservation required)
This maiko costume is of higher quality than usual and features delicate dyeing. (Reservation required)
All data of the photos taken is included. Feel free to make additional copies on your home computer. (Photo correction is only available for photos printed at the store.)
Customer experience photos include retired kimonos, obi, hairpins, and seasonal poses.
