Given my age, would a geisha experience be a better option?
There is no age limit for the Geisha and Maiko experience, as long as you are an elementary school student or older. You can choose the look you want to have.
If you are uncomfortable with the cute style, you can also have elegant look like the older sister style.
Is there an age limit for the Geisha and Maiko experience?
There is no age restriction. It is available to a wide range of age groups, from 10 to 80 years old.
Can men also experience being a maiko? Can boys also experience being a maiko?
Our shop only accepts women or girls of elementary school age or older to experience being a maiko.
Men's kimonos are available for men and boys.
Is there a maiko experience for children?
Yes, we have an experience course for children. For more information,Girl's Maiko Course .
You can also experience being a maiko or Geisha with your mother.Family Studio Course,Family Courtyard CourseAnyone over elementary school age and 115cm tall can participate.
Children will also be wearing half wigs, so the hair in the front and on the sides will need to be at least 5cm long.
If the plan includes a USB, do I need to bring my own USB?
We will provide you a new USB.

What is the difference between the outdoor shoot and the walk option?
During the outdoor photo shoot, a professional photographer will accompany you and take photos at a spot where the maiko look will look great. After the outdoor photo shoot, you will have about 20 minutes to walk around freely by yourself.
The stroll option is an additional option that allows you to freely stroll and explore the surrounding area after the photo shoot in the studio or in the courtyard. During the stroll, you will be asked to take your own photos.
The walking option costs 30 yen (tax included) per person for 4,400 minutes.

Where can I go for a walk?
You can only walk within the area of the map we have created. Walking around Kyoto as a maiko or Geisha is restricted by rules and regulations. Please understand that this is to respect the culture.
If I experience alone and add the walking around, will someone from the shop accompany me?
There will be no staff accompanying you on your walks, so you are free to explore on your own.
Can I ride a rickshaw with being a maiko?
Yes. You can ride a rickshaw with all plans except for the Studio Course and Courtyard Course.
Yes, you can ride rickshaw, they will drop off infront of pur shop.
Rickshaws cannot be reserved in advance and must be arranged on the day.

If it rains, can I go for a walk?
Unfortunately, in the case of rain, you will generally not be able to go out for a walk.
Check the weather on the day and discuss with the staff to decide.

Unfortunately, we only offer Geisha and Maiko experiences at our shop.
