Geisha makeover experience at Kyoto GION AYA
Can I take pictures with my own camera?
Yes, of course you can take photos.
After the photographer has finished taking photos, if you do not wish to take an additional stroll, you will have 10 minutes of free time to take photos with your own camera.
The locations where you can take photos will vary depending on the weather and reservation status at the time of your visit. The studio and courtyard cannot be used when other customers are taking photos.
Can I take videos or photos while I'm getting my makeup done or getting dressed?
We may ask you to refrain from taking photos if you are sharing a room with other guests, or if it is a busy time or season, but it is possible to take photos as long as other guests are not in the photo. In those cases, we ask that you do it yourself.
Can people who are not participating in the experience take photos while preparing for the experience?
If you are not participating in the experience, you can bring your companion with you and have them take photos after you have put on your makeup and are getting dressed.
Please note that if there are other customers in the dressing room due to the reservation situation, you may only be allowed to take photos during the free photo shoot time.
Can I add additional poses on the day?
Additional photography of studio or courtyard can be arranged on the day.
*Studio photo shoot: 2,200yen per person per pose, courtyard photo shoot: 3,300 yen per person per pose
Can I take a group photo with my friends?
If the photographer helps you to take photos of you posing, this will be an additional shoot (additional fee required). However if you take the photos by yourseld in your free time, we don't charge.
When can I get a printed photos?
We will put your photos in an album and give it to you when you finish the experience on the day.
How big is the photo?
It is 2L size (12.7 x 17.8 cm), which is twice the size of a regular L size.
Can I purchase digital versions of photos taken by photographers?
For those who wish, we will sell the photos we have taken on a USB or as LINE smartphone images.
If you purchase all the data, in addition to the photos we have given you, we will also give you some complimentary cuts. The USB costs 4,400 yen (tax included) and the LINE smartphone images cost 3,300 yen (tax included).
Outdoor photo shooting course such as AYA luxurious course, AYA special course or set course such as family, couple course all include a USB containing all the data.
