I'm Sono, an all-mighty staff member at GION AYA, a maiko experience center. Have you seen the video of makeup staff Takazawa imitating makeup that was recently uploaded to GION AYA's YouTube channel? A year ago, Sono and Takazawa did their own makeup in a video of "Hakanage Maiko Makeup" and it was uploaded. We received many requests from customers who actually came to the store, so we decided to challenge ourselves to see if we could transform into a "Hakanage Maiko" using Takazawa's face. ↑If you haven't seen it yet, please check it out. I was next to him and gave him some advice, but I was really impressed by Takazawa's amazing ability to recreate the scene.   To be honest, Sono and Takazawa have completely different facial features. (Son on the left, Takazawa on the right)By the way, Sono is wearing no makeup. ↓↓↓↓ Fleeting Maiko Makeup   Takasawa's face has a narrow space between the eyes and the space between her eyebrows is narrow, so she looks sharp. To recreate a sense of fragility with those features!!! It's difficult to make someone look exactly the same unless they have similar facial features, but even if their facial features are different, applying makeup to create the image you want and suit them requires: ✔ the ability to capture the customer's facial features ✔ how to apply makeup to match the image you want ✔ whether you can give the final finish while considering the overall balance. In particular, if you don't give the final finish the overall balance, it may look similar, but... it's not cute, right? This is what I felt was the true strength of the Gion Aya makeup staff.
