Hello! This is Tsujishita from Gion Aya!



You have participated in our GION AYA store tour since last time.

Everyone even helped choose the pose, so

Now it's time to get ready to put on makeup!!



The flow of the experience at Aya is roughly as follows:

1▶ Visit the salon, check in at the waiting room, choose a pose

 2▶ Change into underwear in the locker room ☚ Imakoko

3▶ Japanese makeup and wig in the makeup room

 4▶ Dressing in the dressing room

 5▶ Shooting at each studio

 6▶Free time (Stroll around Yasaka Shrine and Nene-no-michi, take photos in front of the shop, etc.)

 7▶Returning home Take off your kimono and get ready to go home in the locker room.

 8▶ Album handover and payment



If you haven't chosen your pose yet, please go to the previous blog! ↓





First of all, please change from your Western clothes into kimono underwear (hadajuban).

Next, go to the very end of the corridor you just walked down...





As you can see in the photo, the garden studio is at the very back of the corridor.

There are so many doors in the Aya corridor that it's easy to get lost.(Lol)

Please follow closely!



On the left is the makeup room, and on the right is the locker room!

It's like a bath!!!

Everyone praises (?) us for this.


We have prepared a large washbasin like this so that maiko can wash their hair after using it.

(Maiko use half wigs, which are the bangs and hair around the face!)



There is shampoo and a hairdryer too.

When you come, you can come empty-handed!

On the other side there are a ton of lockers!!!

Please store your clothes, luggage and accessories in the lockers!
If your luggage does not fit in the locker, we will store it at the office. (If you have a total of four or more suitcases, please contact the store in advance.)



We provide carry bags for cameras, cell phones, and other valuables, so you can carry them with you!




You can take photos while you're getting your makeup done, so feel free to take as many as you like!



If you become a geisha or maiko, we will provide you with a cute basket like this.







You can just throw it in and go for a walk.

Please take good care of it yourself m(__)m

(Please be careful not to forget and focus on the maiko.(lol))



There is also a women's only restroom in the locker room.♪♪♪



(GION AYA really had a lot of doors! (lol))



Now that you're changed, it's time for the long-awaited makeup application to begin!!

Please wear underwear that has an open back underneath the undershirt.

You can leave your camisole and bra on.

Please do a final check before entering the makeup room.



Have the hard contacts been removed?

(If you have hard contact lenses, please remove them before applying makeup and then reapply before applying mascara!)

Have earrings, necklaces, rings and watches been removed?

(If you don't mind your first piercings and wedding ring being photographed, you can leave them on!)

Have you removed the hair ties and hairpins?

(They often get lost, so put them in the locker!)
