I went to the Setsubun Festival in Gion again this year in 2020. I was so moved by the appearance of the maiko HAaaan♡, who is a fan of Kanda♡(^^)/
Hello. I'm Kanda, a photographer. (^^♪ How is everyone doing? Are you feeling unwell with the weather getting colder and warmer? Don't let your guard down.

Well, this time I went to the annual "Setsubun Festival" again this year, so I'd like to introduce it to you! This year, out of the four geisha districts, only maiko from Miyagawacho will be performing. I lined up two hours beforehand and was really pumped (lol). My favorite maikos are, ↓↓Toshinami-san and Toshinana-san from the left♡
I remember watching the stage dedication of the older maiko with a serious look on her face when she was a shikomi-san four years ago. These two were introduced on the same day and are classmates. ↓↓These two at the introduction on November 4, 2017↓↓
Toshinana-chan looked at the camera and smiled ♡↑↑
By the way, these two have appeared on NHK TV! (Professional style) Now, please take a look at Toshinana at the Setsubun Festival ♡( *´艸`)↓↓
Every year, Miyagawacho performs the "Hime Sansha" (Princess Three Shrines). The dancing fans and the jingling of bells are very beautiful.
The dance is so good!!
The kimono I wore that day was formal, with three strands at the nape of my neck. My hairstyle was "mandarin duck." There are male and female versions, but I think I chose a male. It seems that people wear their hair differently during the three days around Setsubun.
Once the offering is completed, the main event begins: bean throwing.
They were full of energy and smiles, and watching them made me feel happy too. But they've really grown up ♡ And speaking of Miyagawacho, every year, geisha girls dress up as Setsubun ghosts and throw beans together. Take a look at these enthusiastic girls ♪↓↓
He's so handsome, it's making my nose bleed.
↑↑The famous duo of Miyagawacho! From the right, they are Toshimana and Toshinana, known as Manakana in Kyoto. They are extremely famous in the entertainment district. Incidentally, Toshinana is also sisters with Toshinana and Toshinami! (^^)!
And although they didn't go on stage, some maiko from the same okiya came to watch the show♪ ↑↑From the right are Chika Saya and Chika Haruka. Chika Saya is so cute♡
Toshiemi, who changed her collar last year and became a geisha, was also there. She had a very popular aura about her. ↓↓This is Toshiemi from last year. She's super cute.
Once the bean-throwing was safely over, we dashed to the south gate of Yasaka Shrine to take some final photos (^^♪ With the offering now complete and a sense of relief in the air, Nana-chan ♡↓↓
As expected, there was a huge crowd around the four main characters.

After this, he got into the hire car and went home in style. As for me... Even though it was a day off, I went to GION AYA to show off the photos I took, retouched them a little, and then headed home. Haa~♡ It was so much fun~( *´艸`) I had been waiting for this day for so long, so it was a very happy year♡ Thank you for reading to the end. Bonus↓↓
The lucky beans I got at home and my beloved cat ♡
