Hello everyone

The rainy season is over now, and we've been experiencing midsummer days recently.

I think Takemitsu, who is sensitive to heat, is melting every day.

Well, in this blog I would like to continue writing about my stroll around the area around my daughter Hime and Aya.

There are a lot of photos, but please bear with me.

First of all, I went to lunch.

This time, we went to Yayoi Cafe, which is located very close to our shop.
I've always wanted to go there, so I went for a girls' get-together with my little princess.

Well then, let's go inside.

As I walked through the atmospheric corridor...oh my, how lovely!

This lovely courtyard welcomed us.

The interior of the store was also very stylish and calm.

The princess was already getting excited...

For lunch, the princess ordered "Ojako Pasta"... 1,390 yen (tax included).

It's a creamy pasta dish made with Yayoi's popular product, dried baby sardines and sansho pepper.

This pasta set comes with salad, soup and dessert.

It was topped with lots of dried Japanese pepper, but my daughter, who normally doesn't like Japanese pepper because it's spicy, praised it and ate it all by herself.

And this corn soup was also very delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the salad, but it was also delicious with the dried baby sardines on it, but the dressing seemed a little too adult for the young princess, so my mother took over and took over. So Takemitsu enjoyed it.

Although I ended up eating a little, there were also two bite-sized desserts after the meal, which also got the princess really excited.

It's filled with lots of summer vegetables, and even comes with rice balls topped with lots of dried baby sardines.

It's light and easy to eat, perfect for this hot season.

I passed by Aya and headed towards Nene's street.

But isn't Nene's road beautiful? The new greenery is beautiful this time of year and the sunlight feels really nice.

This is also a great place to take photos for customers who come to experience Aya.

Oh, I found a rickshaw

If you come to Kyoto, you'll definitely want to try it at least once.

The princess asked me to ride it, so I'll give it a try.

So, I got a rickshaw driver right away.

It was Takemika's first time riding a rickshaw, and both father and son were excited.

Since I didn't know anything, I asked for a detailed explanation of the courses and prices, and this time I chose the two-seater course for 30 yen for 9,000 minutes.

Well, well, let's get going.

While we were riding in the rickshaw, Murati said to me with a refreshing smile, "I'll call you Princess," and my Princess got very embarrassed (lol).

I thought the rickshaw would be hotter, but it was cooler than I expected while it was moving and quite comfortable.

We had people from around Maruyama Park take care of us, so there was a lot of shade and the breeze was refreshing.

So, depending on the course and the location it may be hot, but they do provide shade so it's reassuring at this time of year.

The rickshaw driver Murati took the photo for me. I wondered if he would take it as a souvenir, but he took a photo like this, and I was so happy that I bragged about it to my family as soon as I got home.

During the ride, he told me all kinds of stories and told me all kinds of trivia that made me go, "Wow!" It was really interesting.

At first, I thought it was expensive, but after the ride, I understood why. It was so much fun, and my daughter said she wanted to ride it again.

This walk with the kids was a great time for Takemi and I, too, and we had a lot of fun and made a lot of new discoveries.
