This is a blog that I hope will help you enjoy your maiko experience with peace of mind.

It seems that almost all teenagers use eyelid tape these days!

(I'm not a teenager anymore, but I have trouble with my eyelids due to aging, so I can't live without eyelid tape.)

I usually try to make my eyes double-lidded with eyelid tape, but I wonder what will happen when I put on maiko makeup? You don't have to worry about that!

 

First,Deep-set eyelids!

This time, I had the chance to do makeup for our makeup staff member, Di (Noda), so I'll be using her as a model to explain the process ♡

Can you see the difference in these three photos?

The top one is without double tape.

Double tape in the center (right side only)

The bottom one is the difference when I draw eyeliner (only the right side has eye tape)

 

Di is also one of those who regularly uses eyelid tape.

Because my eyes look small because of my deep-set eyes...

When I was a model for a photo shoot, Takami (Takasawa) made my eyes look bigger with double eyelid tape♪

 

Using eye tape will widen the double eyelid and increase the visible area of ​​your eyeliner, making your eyes appear larger and brighter.

When it comes to how your eyes look in photos, the visible width of your eyeliner is very important!

And next...Single eyelids!

 

Some customers with single eyelids use double-sided eye tape or fiber-type eyelid creases to create a double eyelid.

In that case, we may remove the eyelid tape to improve the adhesion of the white makeup.
