Hello everyone! This is Noda. I forgot to put on sunscreen at my child's sports day the other day, so my neck got a weird sunburn.

Even though it's getting cooler, we still need to be careful. I think I'll have to live with this weird sunburn for a while lol.

Now that we are in the middle of October, I'm sure many parents who have children celebrating Shichi-Go-San this year are thinking about photos.

At our shop, even older children can experience being a maiko, so we've been getting more and more inquiries from customers who want to commemorate their child's Shichigosan ceremony by having them photographed dressed as a maiko! It's a truly unique Kyoto experience! (^^)!

In fact, my daughter also experienced it when she was 7 years old. I've dug out some photos and would like to explain Gion Aya's child maiko experience from a mother's perspective~(*´▽｀*)

First, I changed into a kimono undergarment and headed to the makeup room.

It takes about 40 minutes for the make-up and half wig, which is quite a long time for a small child, but the staff talks to me in a fun way from a child's point of view.

It was all done so quickly and it went by in a flash!

Generally, adult customers are asked to wait in the waiting room, but if there are small children, a female companion such as a mother can accompany them into the makeup room! (^^)!

This is a great option for children who are worried about going alone.

I also had fun watching my child get his make-up done and transform up close (^^♪

By the time the half wig was finished, my daughter had started to feel like a maiko and became more graceful than before☺

I guess girls really do love makeup and transforming themselves (*^-^*)

Next, we move to the dressing room and start dressing.

Choose one kimono for your child to wear.

He has a relaxed look lol

When dressing children, the parts that need to be fastened are tightened to a certain extent so that the clothes don't come undone, but the parts that need to be loosened are loosened, so it wasn't that painful! My daughter said.

The obi was attached to the child's kimono so it wasn't too much of a burden and he was able to move around.

While I was getting dressed, I was able to get advice from the next photographer on what facial expressions to use during the shoot, which made me really look forward to the shoot!

Now that I'm feeling like a maiko, it's time for the photographer to take my picture☆
