Takasawa-style Geisha Dressing (Stylish and Cool) ☆Ms. J☆

Hello everyone. The rainy season has arrived! We have good news for customers who are hesitant to go outside!
We have a great plan for rainy days!

And from this time of year onwards, people wearing yukatas can be seen outside on the streets of Kyoto! This year, I'm planning to wear a yukata that I bought last year but have never worn (this is a long story...lol). This is Takazawa.

This time I would like to introduce my own way of dressing a geisha.
Let’s start with this.
Yu
This is a photo that clearly shows how the collar is set. Generally, the collar is long and white, but since Ms. J is a very voluptuous woman, I made the collar a little wider towards the tip. This helps to make the chest area look neater.
This way of putting out the collar can also be applied when dressing people with broad shoulders or shoulders that are a little broad! (You have to be careful not to overdo it with everyday kimonos, as it can make you look a little older.

Next is a photo taken in the garden. This makes it easier to see the angle of the obi from the front.

As with maiko, the obi is tied crosswise. By tying the sides higher and lowering the center, the chest is more prominent and the waist is higher. Geiko, who tie their obi lower than maiko, can still look stylish and make their legs look longer and slimmer.

So what does a geisha look like from behind?
Yu 1
Unlike maiko, geisha wear double drum obi.
The collar is lowered more than that of a maiko (exposing more of the back) and the position of the pillow of the obi is just below the collar, so the obi is slightly larger. By leaving the corners sharp and not rounded, I think it gives a sharp look from the back as well.
(If you round the corners, it will give a gentler impression.)

So far, I have introduced how geisha dress up, so I would like to finish by talking a little about J-sama’s makeup.

Ms. J is a foreigner with very clear facial features, so she requested cool makeup, but we made sure it didn't come off as harsh.
Specifically, don't use too much red, don't line your nose too much, and don't make the eyeliner too long or angled. (← negative makeup)
However, I put my eyebrows in the center and angled them firmly, drew my eyeliner a little thicker, and applied a plump, sharp lipstick. (←Additional makeup)
Ms. J is a beautiful geisha with great poses and expressions! Thank you very much!

The make-up and dressing of the Geisha and Maiko will be tailored to suit the customer's facial features and body type.
Please feel free to talk to me about anything! !
