The makeup and dressing staff at the Maiko Experience Center GION AYA, Sono and her child had the opportunity to try out being Maiko ♡

This time, to commemorate my daughter's sixth birthday, I had the chance to experience being a maiko, something she had always wanted to do, so I'd like to share with you the details of that experience♡♡

but. . .

I had a lot of concerns about my daughter's experience as a maiko.

-Will my daughter be able to tolerate eye makeup and white face paint?
-Can you withstand the tightness of the kimono?
・Can I wash my face after the experience?

That's what I thought(*´з`)

So, starting from her sixth birthday, she has been practicing touching her eyes, touching her face sticky, patting her face with a makeup puff, and washing her face with foam!!

As for the tightness of the kimono, try tying it tightly when you put on the yukata, and gradually build up your tolerance to it...

All of this was for the sake of enjoying my long-awaited maiko experience! I had a great time with my daughter as we waited for this day to come (^^♪

The day before she was to become a maiko, my daughter was excited and said, "Tomorrow is finally here!" And on the day of her wedding, she was the first to get up and was all ready!! (→But who knew that this would cause such a big problem later on...)

On the day, I was in charge of my daughter and got her ready (^^)/



I was so excited even while I was putting on my makeup, I even touched my eyes with a makeup puff and applied my eyeliner perfectly (*´з`)ﾎｯ

When dressing, my daughter says it feels better to tie the strings tightly (ﾟДﾟ) Amazing!



She looked so happy that the preparations were completed without any problems and excited about the next shoot♡♡♡

We asked Takuma, who has a lot of experience in children's photography, to take the photos.

When my daughter gets excited, she starts dancing and making funny faces, so I was worried about whether I would be able to film her properly.

Takuma was skillfully escorting my daughter, so I left him in charge and headed off to get ready for myself.

And in the meantime, an incident occurred!!!

While I was getting my makeup done by Takasawa, I was taking photos of my daughter, but... she fell asleep in the middle of the shoot (-_-)zzz

Photographer Matsuda was supporting my daughter who was dozing off. She didn't recover even after drinking tea, and her ears were ringing...



We stopped shooting for a while, and while my daughter was sleeping in her maiko costume, I finished getting ready, and then we were finally able to resume shooting, and we were able to take lots of cute photos (^^♪



Even for parents and children ♡ I will use this for New Year's cards (^^)/



This time, I also wanted to make a photo book, so I took the number of photos for the Child Maiko Photo Book Plan and also took some photos in the small garden.



This time, I was able to see things from the customer's perspective, and what I felt again was,

Since children cannot maintain the poses and expressions of maikos while wearing wigs and kimonos, it is important for the photographer to capture the moment.
What's more, he was able to bring a smile to my daughter's face while having various conversations with her, which was really amazing!

And the way they deal with the irregularities that only children can experience!!! Everyone was thinking about what we should do and I was really grateful♡



During the current summer vacation season, we have seen a steady stream of children coming to experience the Children's Maiko experience.

During the Shichi-Go-San season in October and November, we receive many reservations for adult plans, especially on weekends and holidays, so if you are thinking of having your photo taken to commemorate Shichi-Go-San, make your reservation early ♡

*The target age range for the Children's Maiko Experience is 7 years old (first grade of elementary school) to 12 years old (sixth grade of elementary school), and children over 115 cm tall.
