~The World of Japanese Hairstyles~ Could the secret of the wigs at GION AYA, the Maiko Experience Center, be hidden here?!

Hello everyone.
I recently got my perm redone for the first time in nine months and I'm really happy (*^_^*)

Today, I'm taking a break from Takazawa-style and would like to introduce a book to you. The other day, one of our staff, Sakagami, told me that a book on a topic I've always been interested in had been released, so I went to buy it.

The book is limited to 1500 pairs… here it is ≪Purchased at Kyoto Takashimaya≫↓↓

This is a newly published book by hairstylist Ishihara Tetsuo in an effort to preserve traditions for future generations.
It not only shows hair styles for maiko but also many different types of Japanese hairstyles!!
Among other things, the book contains detailed photos and explanations of the basics of how maiko geisha should style their hair.

I don't know if it's okay to post the contents, so here's just the cover:



It contains a set of three books: two thick volumes and a slightly thinner book, all stored in the box shown in the first photo.
I haven't read it all thoroughly yet, but the book with a picture of a comb on the cover describes the basics of hair styling for maiko. I was like, "Wow! It's incredible!" It was full of everything I wanted to know, so I couldn't get to the next page (laughs).
What's more, the entire book is written in English ＼(◎o◎)／!
Awesome!!
It really shows how much you want overseas customers to learn about Japanese traditions (the world of hairdressing).
And I asked myself, what do I want to do from now on?

As you can see, I am facing the wig.
Although we use wigs and do not do hair styling, we believe it is important to be able to see the real thing.
At GION AYA Maiko Experience Studio, we strive every day to make sure that even if you are wearing a wig, your hair looks as if it is really being done.

Personally, I'm thinking about making friends with her in the future (lol) ^m^ (lol)
